14th National Stakeholders Water Table Meeting

The 14th meeting of the National Stakeholders Water Table brought together key entities to discuss progress and future actions for Malta’s River Basin Management Plans.

The session opened with an overview of the meeting objectives, followed by presentations on critical initiatives:

• Green Stormwater Infrastructure Guidance Manual – Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure and Planning
• Sewage Discharge Control Regulations – Water Services Corporation
• Valley Management Masterplan – Project Green
• National Biodiversity Action Plan – Environment and Resources Authority
• LIFE RBMP Project Overview – Energy and Water Agency

The meeting concluded with an update on the implementation of the 3rd River Basin Management Plan and the work programme for Malta’s 4th RBMP.

These discussions reinforce the collaborative approach needed to optimise water resource management and ensure sustainable practices across the Malta River Basin District.
