The RBMP LIFE Programme proudly supported the successful Għajn Spooky Quest, held at the Għajn National Water Conservation Awareness Centre in Rabat on 2 November 2026, bringing together hundreds of families for a unique blend of Halloween-themed entertainment and water conservation education.

The event, which offered free entry, transformed the Għajn Centre into an interactive learning experience where children and adults embarked on a spooky quest around the site, completing challenges, answering questions and discovering the importance of sustainable water use along the way. The event formed part of the educational activities organised at the Centre with the support of the LIFE16 IPE/MT/000008 LIFE-IP-RBMP-Malta Project, co-funded by the European Union through the LIFE Programme.

Visitors enjoyed a packed programme of activities including themed educational games, creative sessions, storytelling experiences and opportunities to meet the popular Għajn mascots and a Halloween treasure hunt designed to engage participants of all ages. The event successfully combined entertainment with environmental education, allowing families to learn more about Malta's water resources and the importance of water conservation in a fun, accessible and memorable way. Through interactive activities and hands-on experiences, participants were encouraged to adopt water-saving practices and better understand the role each individual can play in safeguarding this valuable resource. The strong turnout highlighted the growing interest in educational family events that promote environmental awareness while providing meaningful recreational opportunities. Bringing together members of the local community and visitors from across Malta, the event further strengthened the role of the Għajn Centre as a national hub for water education and awareness.
