Emerging Water Research in Malta: Seminar Highlights

The Energy and Water Agency (EWA) has launched the first seminar in its series “Emerging Water Research in Malta: Insights from MCAST and the University of Malta,” held at ĠĦAJN – National Water Conservation Awareness Centre.

The event brought together students from the University of Malta and MCAST who presented their BSc and MSc dissertation work to an audience of policymakers, researchers, professionals and students. Their presentations covered key themes such as surface hydrology, groundwater recharge, water quality, and approaches to water resource management.

This collaboration between EWA, the University of Malta and MCAST strengthens the connection between academic research and national water management efforts, supporting the development of Malta’s future environmental professionals.
