DESCRIPTION
  • This action aims to identify the representative water use sectors/organisations (the domestic, agricultural, commercial, maritime and tourism sector; and of related interest groups such as environmental, cultural and leisure related non-governmental organisations) which will need to be engaged throughout the LIFE IP project and in support of the development and implementation of subsequent and

  • complimentary water management and engagement actions. Following the stakeholder mapping exercise, a perception survey will be designed by the project partners with the support of an external consultant, and undertaken in order to identify the main concerns of water-users and stakeholders on the national water sector and the actions/developments being proposed under the LIFE IP and the 2nd River Basin Management Plan.

EXPECTED RESULTS
  • The main result of this action is an increased engagement of stakeholder organisations, with meetings with at least 20 stakeholders and water user organisations being hosted by the project coordinating beneficiary.

  • Furthermore, the action envisages the undertaking of a stakeholder perception survey which will at least address 1% of total population of the Maltese Islands, equally shared between the main stakeholder/water-user groups on the islands.
